For Lovers of the Written Word
The Friends of The Malahat is a group to bring together lovers of the written word in the Victoria area.
Friendship includes:
- A one-year subscription to The Malahat Review
- Invitations to four issue launches per year (and the opportunity to win a door prize open only to Friends in attendance)
- Free admission to all ticketed Malahat events
- Malahat lite delivered quarterly to your inbox
- A 10% discount at Renaissance Books (a fabulous used book store at 14 Bastion Square in Victoria)
- A free coffee, tea, or cookie at the Overleaf Cafe and Bookshop's Saturday Salons every Saturday from 12 - 3 p.m. (1105 Pandora at Cook)
- Discounted subscriptions to select literary magazines across the country: Arc Poetry, The Fiddlehead, and EVENT
- Discounts at two Malahat-sponsored writing workshops per year (next workshop will be a panel on writing reviews, November 13th)
- Opportunities to interact with fellow readers and writers, new and established
