Katherine Magyarody's "Goldhawk"
Wins PEN America Short Story Prize

The Malahat Review is pleased to announce Katherine Magyarody as one of 12 winners for the inaugural PEN America/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers!

Each of the twelve winning writers will receive a cash prize of $2,000 and will be honoured at the annual PEN America Literary Awards Ceremony in New York City. The twelve winning stories will be published in an annual anthology entitled The PEN America Best Debut Short Stories, forthcoming in 2017. Pre-order your copy here
