2005 Long Poem Prize Winners

The Malahat Review congratulates Margo Button of Victoria, BC, and Harold Rhenisch of 150 Mile House, BC on their joint win of the 2005 Long Poem Prize.

Judges John Barton, of Victoria, Mary di Michele of Montreal, and Tim Lilburn of Victoria chose Button’s poem “Blue Dahlias” and Rhenisch’s “Abandon” from 190 entries. Both poems will appear in no. 151, Summer 2005, which will be published in July.

The Malahat Review also congratulates the six finalists: Sylvia Adams (Ottawa, ON), Yvonne Blomer (Nanaimo, BC), James Gurley (Seattle, WA), Pamela Hughes (Lyndhurst, NJ) Barbara Nickel (Yarrow, BC), and Alison Watt (Nanaimo, BC).
