Get your tickets today to a weekend of exciting literary events featuring writers from coast to coast.

Different festival pass combos are available for purchase; see below for details!

Register before March 11, and you’re eligible to sign up for a free Brief Encounters session to have your work critiqued by a Victoria author.

Lansdowne Lecture (March 16, 7:30 p.m.)

This event is FREE and open to the public. Featured speaker is Richard Van Camp.

WordsThaw Full Pass (March 17, 7:30 p.m. & March 18 all day)

This full pass gets you entry to Words on Ice (March 17) and all WordsThaw panels (March 18).

$50 regular/$25 students

A WordsThaw Full Pass includes a one-year subscription to The Malahat Review, starting with the Indigenous Perspectives Issue.
Your pass and issue will be ready for you to pick up at the registration table on Thursday, March 16; Friday, March 17; and after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18.

Master Class Cancellation Policy

If, after March 12, you are obliged to withdraw for any reason from the master class with Joanne Arnott, there will be no refund on the Master Class portion of the combined Master Class and WordsThaw Pass Combo. Master Class registrations may be transferred to someone else as long as Planet Earth Poetry and The Malahat Review are notified by March 19.

Please note that, when purchasing a combined Master Class and WordsThaw Pass Combo, there will be no refund of the WordsThaw portion after purchase. It may however be transferred to someone else as long as Planet Earth Poetry and The Malahat Review are notified by March 19.

Words on Ice Reading only (March 17, 7:30 p.m.)

All proceeds for Words on Ice will be used for payment toward WordsThaw Writers Festival authors
