Kaelyn Abrahamson,
Editorial Assistant

Kaelyn Abrahamson Kaelyn Abrahamson is an undergraduate writing student in her second year at the University of Victoria. Born and raised in Victoria on the unceded lands of the W̱SÁNEĆ and Lək̓ʷəŋən nations, she looks to capture the essence of her hometown and Vancouver Island in her writing projects. Kaelyn mainly writes fiction, exploring the genres of speculative and science fiction with a focus on environmental and climate issues.

Alongside her pursuit of writing, Kaelyn is studying biology with a particular interest in forest and marine ecosystems. She hopes to use her writing skills and scientific knowledge to pursue a career in science writing alongside her career as a novelist.

When she isn’t writing, Kaelyn can be found hiking, kayaking, skiing, or spending time elsewhere in nature; these adventures serve as the greatest inspiration for her creativity.
