Ava is originally from Cobourg, Ontario, an hour east of Toronto. Her personal writing, both informal essays and prose-poetry pieces, often feature reflections on “home.” Her academic writing usually finds itself covering purgatory, sex, and religious allusion. She loves literature from the ’60s.

She is in her third year of an English Honours BA at the University of Victoria, serving as Poet Laureate on the English Students’ Association and copyediting for the English undergraduate journal The Albatross. avaugo.substack.com
