Maleea AckerMaleea Acker is a writer, editor and teacher. She is the author of two books of poems, The Reflecting Pool and Air-Proof Green (Pedlar 2009, 2013), and one of essays, Gardens Aflame: Garry Oak Meadows of BC’s South Coast (New Star Books, 2012). She has lived and worked, thanks to arts residency fellowships, in Canada, the U.S., Spain and Mexico. Maleea can’t seem to resist the lure of the time to write and read that school affords, and is currently teaching and completing a PhD in Cultural Geography, with a focus on Geopoetics.
